This tale of a working girl trying to get her finances in order -- or just trying to avoid them -- really hits home. A hilarious read, where the heroine loves to shop and finds herself going to great lengths to keep herself in the best fashions without ever being financially responsible. I would highly recommend this title to anyone who enjoyed Bridget Jones's Diary, or those who just love to shop. You'll see more of yourself between these pages then you'll care to admit! About the Author Sophie Kinsella is a writer and former financial journalist. She is very, very careful with her money and only occasionally finds herself queuing for a sale. After going through my bills, I decided to browse Chapters online and found a this comical book that might as well be written about me! The story is as addictive as Becky's shopping habit, I honestly could not put it down: I finished this book and the second one in 2 1/2 days! Can't wait for my pre-order of the third one to arrive!! I had bought it and the sequel last May but hadn't found the time to read it. Well, once I picked it up, I couldn't stop. I have now read both books in 3 days. It's a nice light read. It found it thoroughly enjoyable. I should say, I did find Bridget Jones a better read, but I could definitely relate to Rebecca's shopaholic character. I do recommend the book. Well Done. 4.
